Self-portrait as of approximately this second.
Listen, Mr. Next-door-neighbour. I get that you like your music but you are singing so loudly that I can hear you through multiple sets of walls and across a backyard. Do you think that the houses around you are uninhabited???
edit: Now your wife is yelling too do you just have all of your conversations at top volume???????
'Sup tumblr. I should really be asleep, but I'm in way too much pain to manage that. Have some character noodling.
Someone ordered something from my etsy shop, so I doodled them something super-anime.
A bit of early character design sketching… I’m rather liking the idea behind the girl on the right - she pissed off a wood nymph in her teenage years and was cursed - now she has plant parts slowly taking over her body. She’s desperately looking for a way to stop it from expanding further.
Okay, so. Story time. A few years ago I was in a shadowrun game. The character I was playing was an elf poser with extremely low charisma, so I decided she’d be obsessed with elves in a very weeaboo-ish fashion. The first session came and went, and playing her was a blast. For the most part I knew the other players - except for one. The player that I didn’t know quit after the first session, telling the GM that the group was “too full of weaboos”. A couple of the members were kind of of that sort, so I wrote it off as nothing.
A while later, I wound up in a class with this guy. He was reading books I had either read or was interested in reading, so I tried to strike up conversation a few times. He always either didn’t respond or quickly brushed me off. As it turns out, he had seen me playing an aggressive, socially inept geek in-character and had assumed I was a huge weeaboo in real life as well. It still amuses to me to this day, but I guess it means I must have done a pretty damn good job at the role. :P
Anyways, I really wish someone I know would run a shadowrun game so I could play this character again. It was the last time I was really inspired to draw, too…
Stuck in a game shop with an awful headache. Doodling and trying to ignore the noise.
Got back from an overall quite nice vacation. I need to spend the next while doing touch-ups to get pictures ready for print, so it’ll be a bit before I post new art. In the meantime, enjoy a highly self-indulgent warm-up picture.
Upload attempt number three.
